Horrible shooting followed by lack-luster defense led the Lakers to the dungeon in the Kings’ Palace in Sacramento. The Bench Mob brought a decent amount of energy off the pine as Nick Young(16pnts) makes another case for 6th Man of the Year, Wesley Johnson(8pnts, 12rebs) flirts with a double-double, and Robert Sacre(8pnts) scores above his average. The starters were M.I.A. on the defensive end(Besides Jordan Hill) and turned the ball over down the stretch even though they scored very efficiently for the most part. Kendall Marshall(7pnts, 10asts, 7rebs) and Jodie Meeks(21pnts) could not handle Kings’ guard Ray McCallum(27pnts) and L.A.’s big men in Kent Bazemore(16pnts, 6asts, 7rebs), Ryan Kelly(6pnts, 5rebs), and Jordan Hill(18pnts, 15rebs, 4blks) who had another spectacular night, had trouble dealing with Sacramento’s inside game. Los Angeles seemed fatigued once again after three-quarters due to injuries cutting the roster back to nine players. Next game back in L.A. against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday(7:30pm[PT]). On to the next one.
