Due to the Lakers’ smaller line up in the front court, they lose the rebounding game by 14 and allow 15 offensive rebounds as the Mavericks pull through at Staples Center. The starters came out with a boom and fed the ball to their hot hand in Jodie Meeks(25pnts[10/17 FG], 4rebs) and the man who was dishing him the ball was Kendall Marshall(9pnts, 8asts). The L.A. “Big Men” did not get nearly as many rebounds as necessary with Kent Bazemore(13pnts), Ryan Kelly(4asts), and Jordan Hill(14pnts, 10rebs), who was the only exception. Off the pine came good energy from Nick Young(14pnts), Robert Sacre(7pnts, 4rebs), Steve Nash(4pnts, 7asts), and Wesley Johnson(6pnts, 11rebs, 3stls), who did not shoot well but made up for it on the defensive end. Los Angeles was once again out of gas by the time the final quarter arrived, they were out-hustled and could not hit from 3-point range(25%). Next game at Staples Center vs the Clippers in a tough matchup on Sunday(12:30pm[PT]). On to the next one.
